Let’s Do It!
First, I feel very grateful that I have so many wonderful friends, family and colleagues. I have been fortunate to meet and work with extraordinary people during the past 40 years.
As many of you know, I decided to throw my hat in the ring and run for Brooklyn Borough President. It has been a learning experience that this “old dog” thought I would never experience again.
I loved the way that former Brooklyn Borough President Marty Markowitz represented the Borough. He was the greatest cheerleader the 4th largest City in America could ask for. His presence was felt in every neighborhood. That is one of the reasons I decided to run for this office. Reality check. I thought the media/entertainment business was tough. Getting last minute phone calls for front row tickets, backstage passes and almost every kind of permit imaginable is pale in comparison to running for office.
You all know that I have always been a straight shooter with everyone I ever worked with on a project. So here it goes. Now the hard part – raising money. I need your help. We are just days away from the next filing deadline and we must meet the matching funds threshold. What that means is that for every contribution I receive up to $175 of that contribution will be matched 6 to 1. Help me gain access to those funds by chipping in $25, $50, $100, $175 or as much as you can afford. Every contribution counts! The funds would get matched six to one and allow me to run a competitive campaign against an incumbent with $600,000 in the bank.
You all know I am a fighter and I will continue to fight this uphill battle and be that no nonsense candidate who understands the issues regular people face every day. Thank you for your friendship and help, especially since you know how hard it is for me to ask. I am usually the guy people turn to for the help.
Vito J. Bruno
Candidate for Borough President
P.S. There are many other ways you can help too! After you donate, please share this with five of your NYC friends who believe in the future of Brooklyn. We need a broad base of supporters and you can help make it happen.
